Point of View
This exhibition’s theme inspired me to begin a brand-new series of works exploring the idea of point of view, reflection, and truth. Using the art and science of anamorphic projection, I want to show that how we perceive ourselves and our place in the universe depends on our point of view. It can be distorted by how others see us, by how we see ourselves, and how we perceive the truth. The art in this series can be hung on a wall as conventional painting or displayed horizontally with the cylindrical mirror placed in the center, allowing for a 360-degree interactive viewing experience.
