Artist Statement
My recent body of work is a reflection and visual abstract interpretation of my studies & experience of energy fields. It does not matter the various names ascribed to energy….quantum, Chi, magnetic, force or electron, these invisible, vibrational fields connect to everything from the sub-atomic to the cosmic. Our awareness plays a big part in how we can effectively & efficiently use these fields to our advantage. I paint to bring these connections forward, working intuitively and experimenting with a range of colors, textures, & markmaking. The sensitive backgrounds set the stage to highlight the vibrant, sometimes chaotic energy displays. Mixing various media helps me to describe these subtle dichotomies and sensitivities even further. I bring the invisible force of energy to the visible.
